How long do you normally wait for freight claims to be processed? Weeks? Months? Cargo claims have a long history of being a drawn-out process with industry standards ranging from 1-4 months. Not to mention how difficult it is to navigate through automated phone tree prompts or the tedious forms you're required to fill out just to begin your cargo insurance claim.
At Curri, you have a direct line to your own designated Customer Success team member. What does this mean? No more lengthy forms to fill out and, most importantly, you have a real professional by your side to walk you through the process in the event your materials or supplies are lost or damaged. Our Customer Success team members understand how sensitive your time and resources are which is why our goal is to process your claims the same day you bring them to our attention. No more keeping damaged goods on your lot and taking up valuable space for new inventory, while you wait months to get your claim processed.
Coverage for Materials, Supplies, Tools, Equipment, Appliances, and More
From heavy equipment to a gallon of paint, if Curri delivers it, our cargo insurance covers it. All Curri deliveries are insured up to $25,000, so you never have to worry if you're covered or not. Additional coverage is also available up to $250,000. If you find yourself needing additional coverage, please contact your designated Customer Success team member.
How to Submit a Curri Cargo Claim
While every Curri delivery is handled with the utmost care and diligence, we understand that things happen. In the event that your cargo is damaged during delivery, our dedicated Customer Success team is always ready to help make it right. Here’s how to submit an insurance claim with Curri.
Report the Claim to Customer Success
Each account has a designated Customer Success team member that is with you every step of the way. In the event that your cargo is lost or damaged, you can call or email your Customer Success team member.
You can also use the live chat option on our contact page, or call (877) 772-8774 to get in touch with our Live Delivery Operations team to connect you to your designated Customer Success team member. Your Customer Success team member will walk you through getting your claim resolved either by phone or email, depending on how you reach out.
Provide Details About Your Shipment
In order for Curri to process your cargo claim, your Customer Success team member will need you to provide a receipt or invoice for the wholesale cost of the lost or damaged item(s). If you provided the declared value (optional) of your entire shipment when you booked the delivery, we will also look at this. Note: Declaring a value for your shipment ahead of time helps expedite your claim in the event of lost or damaged items.
Provide Additional Information and Photos
Photos of damaged items are great to have and can help expedite your claim. You may be asked to provide additional pictures, so please do not destroy or dispose of any damaged items or the packaging materials until your claim has been processed. In addition, a detailed explanation of cargo and a copy of any documents supporting costs incurred allows us to process your claim on the same day. The more information that you can provide to your Customer Success team member the quicker your claim will be resolved.
Wait for Your Insurance Claim Confirmation
Delays in cargo insurance claims have become somewhat of the norm with industry standards ranging from 1-4 months. At Curri, claims are generally processed the same day you report them. The fastest way for your claim to be resolved is to get Curri credit. You can also request a check, which on average payment is received in 5-7 days.
