Curri is a technology that seeks to connect senders and couriers to deliver packages. In order to do this, we need to collect information about you and about the package.This policy tells you what information we collect and how we use it. We do not collect any information that won’t help us do our job better, and we do not store information that we don’t have to.
Senders: As a Sender you provide information, including your name, phone number, and email address. We may also collect the name, address, and phone number of the person whom you want to receive the package (“Shipment”), the “Receiver”. This is to help us communicate with you and the Receiver about the Shipment to ensure fast, effective delivery. We will collect information about your Shipment. We need to know what it is (for safety and accuracy) and how big it is (weight and dimensions). We will collect payment information, such as a credit card or other payment method to facilitate payment for Services. All such payment information and payment is handled by a secure third party, currently Stripe (stripe.com). To keep your information secure, we do not store complete credit card information on Curri’s servers. You may contact us directly, in which case we have the contact information contained in the correspondence.
Curriers: If you apply to become a Currier, you will need to provide your contact information as well as more detailed information about you that we share with secure third parties, including: your date of birth, physical address, Social Security number, driver’s license information, (vehicle information, car insurance information), and possibly other information. We share this information with partners who help us complete background checks on Currier applicants. We do this to keep the Curri community and Platform safe for Users, employees, and the general public. We will collect information from you about your bank account or other payment information so that we can pay you. We will collect tax information so that we can comply with applicable tax laws. The information you provide for the background check is shared with Checkr (checkr.com) and the information required for financial transactions is shared with Stripe (stripe.com). Curri does not store your personal financial data, driver’s license information, or Social Security number on its servers.
We collect information through the use of “cookies”, tracking pixels, and similar technologies to understand how you navigate through the Curri Platform and interact with Curri. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. You can consult your web browser(s) to modify your cookie settings. Please note that if you delete or choose not to accept cookies from us, you may be missing out on certain features of the Curri Platform. From Third Parties Curri works with partners to complete background (criminal and driving) checks on Currier applicants. If you apply to become a Verified Currier, these partners will provide us with information about you, such as your driving record or criminal history. If you register for Curri using your account with a third party service (such as Facebook), we may receive information similar to what we collect from you as listed above. We may receive information about you from other parties and partners as may be helpful for payment, fraud prevention, or service.
We are committed to protecting the data of Curri Users. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no security measures we can take are 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your data.
Sharing between Curri and Others
Third Party Service Providers. The Curri Platform may allow you to connect with other websites, products, or services that we do not have control over (for example, we may give you the ability to order packaging materials from a third party supplier). If you use these services, we will provide the third party with information about you to allow them to provide the service to you. We do not know the privacy practices of these third parties, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before deciding whether to use their services. We work with third party service providers to perform services on our behalf, including financial and security services, and we may share your information with such service providers to help us provide the Curri Platform, including all of the things described above. Financial transactions are conducted through a trusted third party provider, and financial information, including your credit card information, is not stored on Curri’s servers.Curri works with Checkr to conduct background checks on Curriers and Stripe to process financial transactions.
Integration and API. If you access the Curri Platform through an integration with a third party service, we may share information about your use of the Curri Platform with that third party. We may share your information with our third party partners in order to get more information about you or create offers for you. Curri may also share your information with third parties in the following circumstances: You consent to the sharing; With law enforcement officials or relevant authorities if we think doing so is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Curri Users or the public; To comply with a legal requirement, including but not limited to, subpoenas and court orders. We may also share information upon request of government authority if we think disclosure is required or appropriate in order to comply with laws, regulations, or a legal process; With our insurance partners to help determine relevant coverage; To provide information about the use of the Curri Platform to potential business partners in aggregated or de-identified form that cannot identify you personally, including while negotiating or in relation to a change of corporate control such as a restructuring, merger, or sale of our assets.
You may choose not to receive or share some kinds of information with Curri.
