FleetPride keeps truck and trailer parts moving across southern California with Curri

At FleetPride’s Ontario, California warehouse, every day starts with a plan. Four drivers head out in company trucks, running two scheduled delivery waves—one for orders placed by 9 a.m., another for those in by 1 p.m. From Ontario, those routes cover nearby shops and mechanics across the Inland Empire, with some orders pushing into Los Angeles.

It looks neat and orderly on paper. But trucking logistics don’t always stay neat.

Drivers call out sick. Customers place urgent orders after the cutoff times. Sometimes a part needs to move quickly between FleetPride branches, or a shop in Santa Clarita or San Diego can’t wait until tomorrow. For Warehouse Operations Manager Sergio Becerra, those moments used to be painful. The best he could do was delay the delivery, or worse, ask customers to drive to Ontario to pick up the order themselves.

That changed when FleetPride adopted Curri.

“Curri has gotten me out of a jam every time. When a customer really needs that part, I can count on Curri to make it happen.” - Sergio Becerra, Warehouse Operations Manager, FleetPride

From Delays to Same-Day Coverage

FleetPride is the nation’s largest independent distributor of truck and trailer parts, and the Ontario, California branch is no exception. Sergio oversees all warehouse logistics: receiving, dispatching, deliveries, and driver management. He’s been with the company for eight years, long enough to see the impact that delivery delays have on customers.

“Before Curri, if we were short drivers, we had to tell customers we couldn’t get to them until the next day,” he recalls. “That’s not the kind of service you want to offer. Nobody wants to hear, ‘Sorry, you’ll have to wait.’”

And waiting isn’t a small inconvenience in this industry. FleetPride supplies heavy-duty truck parts for 18-wheelers and trailers—the parts that keep America’s freight moving. If those trucks aren’t repaired on time, they sit idle, costing operators money every hour.

“Curri allows us to keep our customers happy, instead of hearing complaints about wait times.”

Hotshots that fill the gaps

Today, FleetPride uses Curri mostly for Hotshot deliveries. Whenever a driver calls out sick, when the four-person team is stretched too thin, or when a customer places an urgent order after the cutoff time, Sergio books a Curri delivery.

In most cases, Curri steps in for:

  • Late orders – Deliveries placed after 1 p.m. that can’t wait until the next day.

  • Staffing shortages – Sick days, vacations, or simply not enough drivers to cover the volume.

  • Branch-to-branch runs – Pallets or boxes moving quickly between FleetPride locations.

  • Extended-radius jobs – Reaching customers outside their normal 30-mile range, from Santa Clarita to San Diego.

“We do have certain customers that are special cases,” Sergio explains. “When they call, we can’t tell them to wait. That’s when Curri steps in.”

Why Curri became the Go-To

FleetPride Ontario had tried other courier services in the past like Roadie, but the experience wasn’t smooth. “Roadie was complicated,” Sergio says. “Curri’s website is easy, the navigation is simple, and the live tracking makes all the difference.”

The features he relies on most:

  • Fast booking – A Hotshot can be scheduled in just a few clicks, with no phone calls or wasted time.

  • Flexible vehicle options – From small cars for light boxes to box trucks for heavy-duty pallets, Curri’s fleet has handled every type of order Sergio has thrown at it.

  • Extended reach – While the in-house fleet focuses on a 30-mile radius, Curri expands FleetPride’s service to Los Angeles, Santa Clarita, and even down to San Diego.

  • Live tracking – Sergio can pull up the Curri dashboard and tell a customer exactly where their parts are and when they’ll arrive.

  • Proof of delivery – Signatures and drop-off photos give confidence that the order made it to the right place.

That visibility matters. When mechanics call wondering where their shipment is, Sergio can give them an exact ETA instead of vague guesses. It builds trust.

The customer impact

FleetPride’s customers are often independent shops, family-owned mechanics, and fleets that depend on uptime. Their livelihood rests on getting parts delivered quickly.

Before Curri, Sergio sometimes had to tell these customers to wait until tomorrow. Now, he can say yes.

Every time a Curri driver rolls up to a shop in Los Angeles or a fleet yard in Riverside with an urgently needed part, it’s a customer relationship preserved—and often strengthened. “Saying yes makes all the difference,” Sergio says.

He also credits Curri with helping FleetPride expand its effective service area. While the fleet covers 30 miles, Sergio has used Curri for jobs far outside that radius. “I’ve sent Curri to Santa Clarita, San Diego, even further areas,” he says. “It lets us cover customers we wouldn’t normally reach.”

When things go wrong

No delivery system is perfect, and Sergio has seen one or two hiccups. He remembers one instance where a driver decided the pay wasn’t worth the trip and returned the load. But even then, the Curri team stepped in immediately.

“I called my rep, Spencer, right away. He was apologetic and took care of it. He reassigned another driver and got the delivery done the same day,” Sergio explains. “That showed me Curri stands behind their service. I really appreciated that.”

It’s also why Sergio values the ability to rate drivers after deliveries. “Not all drivers are equal, but the rating system keeps the best ones on the platform,” he says.

A Partner, not just a courier

For Sergio, Curri isn’t just about filling gaps—it’s about backing up his operation. “Curri is an excellent courier service. Anything you need to get from point A to point B, they can do it,” he says.

He especially likes that Curri keeps improving. The new preferred driver feature is something he’s eager to use. “There are certain drivers I’d always pick if I could. Now I can.”

Looking ahead

FleetPride’s Ontario, California branch will continue to run its own routes with its four-driver fleet. But Sergio knows there will always be exceptions: the late orders, the sick days, the customers who simply can’t wait.

That’s why Curri has become his safety net. It allows him to keep promises to customers across Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and beyond. And with Curri now offering LTL and FTL services, he sees even more opportunities ahead.

“Curri has been a great help. It’s reliable, it’s easy, and it lets us keep our customers happy. That’s what matters.”

From Ontario to Los Angeles and across Southern California, FleetPride depends on Curri to keep customers rolling. Whether it’s a small box of parts or a pallet of heavy-duty components, Sergio trusts Curri to deliver when his fleet can’t.
