How Greentech Renewables wins sales and retains business with Curri

A push for sustainable construction has been spreading across the United States, with cities like Denver leading the charge. Builders are employing techniques such as modular construction, alternative concretes, and solar paneling to reduce energy and waste consumption without compromising the quality of the build. But the growing demand for sustainable materials means suppliers are busier than ever.
For Reed Davis at Greentech Renewables, that means booking deliveries needs to be a seamless process. Greentech Renewables is a solar distributor that operates on a business-to-business model. They primarily facilitate warehousing and deliveries of solar components to installers and contractors for various projects. Greentech also offers will-call staging areas for customer pickups.
Reed works in the sales department and makes the majority of the bookings for the company. Their accounts primarily involve deliveries to mountainous areas just outside of Denver, where working with conventional construction couriers can become a hassle. That’s where Curri comes in.
Large Denver construction delivery distances mean large problems
Deliveries to remote locations get tricky. Installers don’t want to leave job sites to collect from suppliers, so third-party couriers are the only feasible answer. Many deliveries they book are scheduled to residential addresses, as most customers lack warehousing for direct deliveries. It’s hard for teams like Reed’s to get reliable delivery service where they need it.
Greentech itself operates three 26-foot stake bed trucks for deliveries within a self-imposed radius in the Denver area, but they’ve been working with Curri for years to handle everything outside of this range. They’ve tried out some less-modern third-party options, but found little to no flexibility, visibility, or reliability in their service.
Curri is a third-party app that goes the extra mile
For Reed, the benefits of using Curri keep stacking up. Reed likes that Curri offers hotshot deliveries, which are critical for those who are unable or unwilling to travel to Denver for pickups. They noted that Curri’s platform is also the easiest and quickest to use, making the operations and management part a breeze.
“We use scheduled and rushed hotshot bookings almost exclusively because our customers don’t want to come all the way into Denver to the warehouse for material if their job is several hours away. That’s where our need for third-party deliveries comes from. We use Curri exclusively, because my days are too hectic. The quicker the booking is off my checklist, the better. Curri is by far the quickest and easiest to use.”
Reed and his team use Curri three to four times a week, and that’s anticipated to grow as the company scales. They said the Curri drivers also follow instructions seamlessly, without needing direct contact. The team was particularly impressed with the driver’s commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.
The construction logistics features that make all the difference
When we asked Reed about his most-used features Curri offers, he said live tracking and proof of delivery were right at the top. They’re features that make all the difference in building relationships and retaining clients.
“The most important feature we use is the live tracking. We can share it with our customers on-site, and both of us get visibility into their order status. Other carriers don’t offer this, and my customers are left guessing. Proof of delivery photos are also important. It solves so many discrepancies. If a customer says they didn’t receive something, but I can see it’s right on top of the pallet, it wraps the conversation quickly.”
For Greentech, hotshot services are a game-changer. They appreciate being able to book point A to point B deliveries without having to plan a longer, more complex route. They book rush and scheduled hotshots the most, and scheduled bookings are used for longer, full-job pallet deliveries that are typically planned days in advance. Rush jobs are for urgent same-day needs like missing components or extra parts. The team has yet to use the dedicated route service, as their in-house drivers cover those basics.
Success stories and streamlined operations
We asked Reed if he’d recommend Curri, to which he gave us his “absolutely.” In his industry in particular, the name of the game is simplicity and speed of service. To them, Curri is the simplest hotshot provider on the market today.
“I would definitely recommend Curri as a solution for businesses with similar needs. Other third-party services don’t offer nearly as much, and have little to no visibility for customers and suppliers.”
When asked if they had any success stories to share, Reed had a story from early 2025 come to mind. Thanks to Curri, his team was able to secure a sale through a large client by promising free shipping for their bi-weekly deliveries of residential solar batteries located about an hour and a half away. The team was able to schedule two months of deliveries in about 20 minutes, making good on that promise. Their own trucks wouldn’t have made such far, consistent trips due to the location, especially in the winter months. That’s where we were able to make a difference and help close the sale.
“We’ve won sales using Curri, because we say we can confidently cover shipping costs for buyers. Curri’s pricing and convenience made it easy to beat out our competitors.”
