Service Specialist

The role:

We’re looking for a Service Specialist to join Curri’s Operations team. This role is responsible for owning full truckload (FTL) execution for large vehicle shipments, ensuring high service reliability while expanding carrier capacity to support Curri’s highest-value, highest-priority loads. This is a high-impact role that directly influences service quality, customer retention, and scalable growth.

What you will do:

  • Own FTL execution end-to-end — sourcing, securing, and onboarding carriers (when not already in our network), confirming load details, and proactively managing any risks, delays, or issues.

  • Source carrier capacity using load boards such as DAT and Truckstop when Curri’s internal fleet is unavailable.

  • Field customer quote requests and respond quickly with competitive pricing based on historical market data and real-time conditions.

  • Negotiate smart, fair, and fast rates with carriers to balance cost, urgency, and service quality.

  • Communicate clearly and proactively with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with high-quality carriers and customers so Curri is top of mind as a logistics partner.

  • Provide feedback and ideas to improve tools, processes, and scalability of Curri’s FTL operations.

What you need to have:

  • Experience working in freight, logistics, or brokerage environments.

  • Familiarity with FTL operations and common freight terminology.

  • Hands-on experience using load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.

  • Strong negotiation instincts and the ability to operate under time pressure.

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.

  • A strong ownership mindset with high accountability and attention to detail.

  • Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where priorities can shift quickly.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience scaling carrier networks or managing high-volume freight execution.

  • Demonstrated success reducing co-broker usage and regrettable cancellations.

  • Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort making real-time decisions.

  • Proven ability to improve service quality while protecting margin.

What’s in it for you:

  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on Curri’s most valuable shipments and customers.

  • Significant ownership and responsibility from day one.

  • Work on high-visibility operational challenges that directly support company OKRs.

  • Join a fast-growing, mission-driven team focused on execution and results.

  • Flexible work environment with openness to remote arrangements.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and equity.
